Rohtak Green Road Jain Mandir

The construction of Shri 1008 Digambar Jain Mandir was carried out by Babu Jineshwar Das Ji. The temple primarily houses only one Vedi (altar) with the Moolnayak Pratima (main deity’s idol) of Shri Mahavir Bhagwan. Alongside the Moolnayak Pratima, there are other idols such as Shri Adinath made of stone and idol of Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan, Shri Adinath Bhagwan and Shri Munisuvratnath Bhagwan made of Ashtadhatu (eight metals) are also enshrined in the Vedi. The daily worship and ablution in the temple are performed by the priest.

Located 450 meters away from the temple is Shri Mahavir Park and Library. The acquisition of land for the library was a challenging task undertaken by the respected Shri Rajesh Jain Ji of the Jain community. The struggle began around 17 to 18 years ago when construction work had started on the land. However, the land was acquired by the municipal corporation. Rajesh Jain Ji filed a case against the municipal corporation, asserting that the land was purchased by him and therefore he had rights over it. After nearly 11 to 12 years of litigation, the land was eventually awarded to Rajesh Jain Ji. In 2014, Mahavir Library was constructed on the land. The library houses more than eight thousand Jain, non-Jain, political, economic, encyclopedic, and other books. The annual fee for the library is 1500 rupees. Computers with AC and Wi-Fi facilities are available for the readers. Every day, 250 to 300 readers come to acquire invaluable knowledge.
