Introduction

The land where Shri Adinath Bhagwan received the offering of Ikshu Ras from King Somprabh Shreyansh, marking the beginning of the auspicious festival of Akshay Tritiya, and sanctified this land, later became witness to the auspicious events of the Garbh, Janam, Taph, and Gyan Kalyank of Shri Shantinath, Kunthunath, and Arhannath.

“The sacred footprints of all three Tirthankar are built in Nasiya Ji on the sites of their enlightenment.”

This is where the Samavsharan of Shri Mallinath Ji happened. During the Mahabharat era, Hastinapur served as the capital of the Pandavas and Kaurav. Today, it is located 107 kilometers from Delhi and 38 kilometers from Meerut. Under the inspiration of the revered Acharya Shri Shanti Sagar Ji Maharaj (Hastinapur Wale) and the guidance of Muni Shri Adi Sagar Ji Maharaj, along with the blessings of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj's chief disciple, Dradhmati Mata Ji, the foundation stone of the temple was laid on March 3, 1996. Presently, the temple is known as the Shri 1008 Kailash Parvat Digambar Jain Mandir. The height of the temple from the ground is 131 feet. The temple has been constructed with 72 Jinalya, known as Trikal Chaubisi. Trikal Chaubisi reveals information about the 24 Tirthankar of the past, present, and future. A beautiful Ashok Vatika has been constructed within the temple premises, where pilgrims take a moment to appreciate the grandeur of the temple. There are a total of 2100 steps in the temple. For those unable to climb the stairs to visit the temple, arrangements for a lift have been made. The main idol in the temple is of the first Tirthankar, Shri 1008 Bhagwan Adinath Ji, which is approximately 11.5 feet tall. The Kailash Parvat is also known as Ashtapad Parvat. The Jain Shwetambar community has also constructed the Ashtapad Parvat Jain Mandir in the area.

History

The distance between Delhi and Meerut is approximately 70 kilometers. In terms of population, this is the fifth most populous region in Uttar Pradesh. After Kanpur, Meerut ranks second in terms of military cantonments. Meerut is also known as the Sports City. It shares its borders with Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Bulandshahr. Meerut has a history dating back to the time of the Mahabharata. In the Mahabharata, Meerut was known as Mayarashtr. In memory of the martyrs who died in the 1857 uprising, a Martyrs Memorial has been erected here. Meerut is also known for its glassware exports in India. In Meerut, there are several Jain Mandir, including the Jambudweep Mandir, Ashtapad Mandir, and Bhagwan Shantinath Mandir.
