Yamunanagar Digambar Jain Mandir

Yamunanagar is a city situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. Located 300 meters away from the Yamunanagar railway station is the Shri 1008 Mahavir Digambar Jain Mandir. This temple is situated at the central point of the city and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The temple is 75 years old and combines ancient architecture with modernity. The temple building is very spacious and visually appealing. Along with the Garbh Grah (sanctum sanctorum), there is a very large assembly/lecture hall. This assembly hall is well-ventilated and illuminated naturally from all four sides.

The Garbh Grah contains five Vedi (altar). In the central Vedi, there is a statue of the 24th Tirthankar, Shri Mahavir Bhagwan Ji. The walls inside the assembly hall are adorned with intricate wooden work and golden colors, depicting religious and educational teachings, illustrating the life journey, lifestyle, and character of Shri Mahavir Bhagwan. This artistic work is highly impressive and leaves a profound impact on people.

The second Vedi is also dedicated to Shri 1008 Mahavir Swami, where Bhagwan Mahavir Swami’s idol is enshrined along with various other idols. The third Vedi belongs to Shri Munisuvratnath Bhagwan Ji. The fourth Vedi is dedicated to Shri Jinavani Mata Ji, and the fifth Vedi houses Shri 108 Acharya Vidyasagar Ji idol.
