Badshahpur Chandraprabhu Chaityalaya
According to legend, during the Mahabharat era, King Yudhishthir of Indraprasth (present-day Delhi) gifted this village to his guru, Dronacharya.

Introduction
Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Chaityalaya is located on the Sohna Highway Road in Gurugram. The construction of the Chaityalaya was undertaken in the year 2023 under the auspices of revered Muni Shri 108 Anuman Sagar Ji Maharaj. The total area of the Chaityalaya is extensive, covering 3500 square yards of land. Prior to the construction of the Chaityalaya, there used to be a small park on the land. Due to Jain temples being located in different areas of Gurugram, Jain families were unable to visit them conveniently. In 2023, Muni Shri 108 Anuman Sagar Ji Maharaj arrived in the region. He conveyed to the Jain community that if there were no Jain temples in the area, many Jain families would be deprived of the benefits of visiting the temple. A decision was made by the local community to construct the Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Chaityalaya on the land near Sohna Road. With the unanimous consent of all Jain families, the construction of the Chaityalaya was completed.
In the Chaityalaya, the idol of Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Bhagwan is enshrined as the Moolnayak Pratima (main deity’s idol). This idol of Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan has been brought from the Prachin Jain Mandir of Badshahpur and is more than 500 years old, making it extremely ancient and magnificent. People from distant regions come here for the darshan of the idol of Chandraprabhu Bhagwan and dedicate their bhakti to the deity. Along with the Moolnayak Pratima, the idols of Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan and Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan are also enshrined in the Chaityalaya. Jain Saints also occasionally visit the temple. When Sadhu Maharaj visits Gurugram, they always come to the Chaityalaya to have the darshan of Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan.
Dharamshala
Currently, Gurugram has evolved into an industrial hub equipped with all kinds of amenities, where people from various communities reside together. There are approximately seven to eight hundred Jain families in Gurugram. Located eight kilometers away from Gurugram is Badshahpur. Badshahpur also has a society comprising more than thirty Jain families. The management of the Chaityalaya is also handled by the Jain community. In the area, a Jain dharamshala has been constructed by the Jain community that provides accommodation for pilgrims coming from distant regions.
History
Gurugram, also known as Gurgaon, is a city in the state of Haryana, situated adjacent to the national capital region of Delhi. It is the second most populous city in Haryana after Faridabad. Gurugram is one of the major satellite cities of Delhi and is part of the National Capital Region. After Chandigarh and Mumbai, it is the third city in India with the highest per capita income.

It came to be known as Gurugram after his name, which later transformed into Gurgaon. Gurugram is located 32 kilometers away from the national capital, New Delhi.
