Introduction

There are two main Jain temples in Bada Gaon. One temple is named Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan Prachin Digambar Jain Atishay Kshetra and the other temple is named Trilokteerth Dham Jain Mandir. In 1997, Acharya Shri 108 Vidyabhushan Sanmatisagar Maharaj Ji arrived in the area. During the night, a Dev came to his dream and instructed him to build the Trilok Teerth Dham Mandir in this area. Following Maharaj Ji's orders, construction of the temple began on Raksha Bandhan day in the year 2000 and was completed in 2015. The temple is named Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan Digambar Jain Mandir, also known as Trilokteerth Dham.

The temple features 458 Chaityalaya, and replicas of Shri Nandishwardweep, Shri Sammed Shikhar Ji, Girnar, Champapur, Pavapuri, Kailash Parvat, Meru Mandir, and other regions. Visitors are guided through the three realms: Adholok (lower realm), Madhyalok (middle realm), and Urdhva Look (upper realm). The temple also houses Navagraha Shanti Jin Mandir, Bharat-Bahubali Mandir, Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan Mandir, Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan Mandir, Shri 1008 Kunthunath Bhagwan Mandir, Shri 1008 Arhannath Bhagwan Mandir and Shri 1008 Mahavir Bhagwan Mandir, along with the Pandav Mandir and Shri Ram and Luv-Kush Mandir.

Trilokteerth Dham Mandir stands at a height of 317 feet, with 100 feet within the ground and 217 feet above it. Descriptions of the sins and virtues according to human actions are also depicted within the temple’s premises. At the highest point of the temple, on the Siddhashila, is a 31-foot-tall Padmasana idol of Bhagwan Adinath, made of Ashtadhatu (eight metals). The temples, dedicated to Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan, Shri Neminath Bhagwan, and Shri Munisuvratnath Bhagwan are also present in the temple premises. The temple has four shikharas (spire) around it, each standing 100 feet tall.

In ancient times, when temples were being destroyed across India during the Mughal rule, people protected the idols by burying them underground. Similar scenes were witnessed in Bada Gaon, where there used to be a sand mound known as Parshava Teela. In 1922, Acharya Shri Elak Anantkirti Ji Maharaj arrived in the area. People informed him about the mound and he spent some time meditating there. He sensed the presence of the idol there. Later, he instructed people to excavate the area. After digging about 12 feet, they heard a voice saying, "Bhaiyo Dheere-Dheere Khudai Karo", meaning Brothers, dig slowly. Astonished, people started digging with their own hands. After some time, they found the extraordinary idol of Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan made of white marble. Later, a well was constructed at the spot where the idol was found. People now use the water from this well for healing purposes. Trilok Teerth Dham Mandir was later constructed under the inspiration of Acharya Shri Vidyabhushan Sanmatisagar Ji Maharaj.

Dharamshala

1. Guest House - The temple complex offers 72 rooms with deluxe facilities for guests coming from outside.

2. Trilok Teerth Bhojanshala - A free dining hall named Trilok Teerth Bhojanshala has been constructed in the temple complex to provide proper meals to visitors, students residing in the gurukul and staff members.

3. Syadvad Jain Academy - A senior secondary school affiliated with CBSE Delhi, offering education in English medium, is operational in the Trilok Teerth premises. Approximately 800 students receive education with moral values here.

4. Acharya Sumatisagar Bhavan (Gurukul) - This building provides accommodation for students with 17 rooms. Currently, arrangements for the residence of about fifty students are made in this building. Free education and meals are provided to the students.

5. Syadvad Gausala and Jeev Daya Kendra - A cowshed is running in the Trilok Teerth premises with a special focus on the feeding and service of animals and birds. Presently, there are about 50 cows in the cowshed.

6. Syadvad Ayurvedic Clinic - A free Ayurvedic clinic is also operated in the Trilok Teerth premises. Free treatment is provided to villagers residing in nearby villages on a daily basis.

7. Sant Niwas - This building provides accommodation for saints and ascetics.

8. Guru Mandir - In front of the Trilok Mandir where Acharya Shri's final rites were performed, Guru Mandir has been established.

History

Baghpat is also known as the city of gardens. After the 1857 revolution, Bagpat's significance increased. Initially, it was part of Meerut, but later in 1997, it was made into a separate district. The main business here is in jaggery and sugar. In Baghpat, Trilok Teerth Dham, Shri Parshvanath Bhagwan Atishay Kshetra, and other Jain temples have been constructed. Baghpat has a connection dating back to the Mahabharata era. The Laxagraha from the Mahabharata era is also present in Barnawa in Baghpat.
