Sonipat Halwai Hatta Chaityalaya
The name Sonipat is derived from the Sanskrit word "Suvaranprasth," which means "the place of gold." It is believed to have been founded by early Aryans around 1500 BCE.

Introduction
Eighty years ago, there used to be a house at the site of the Chaityalaya, where Lala Chatar Sen Jain resided. He faced some difficulties while living in this house. Lala Chatar Sen Jain presented the matter of the house to Jain Maharaj (Saint). Maharaj Ji instructed him to bring the idol of the one whom you worship sincerely and establish a Chaityalaya in the house. Lala Chatar Sen Ji followed the instructions and established the idol of Shri Chandra Prabhu Bhagwan Ji by converting the second floor of his house into a Chaityalaya. After spending some time, they handed over the temple to the Jain community and moved to Delhi. Currently, the management of the temple is being carried out effectively by the Jain community. In July 2008, the renovation of the temple was carried out by Mrs. Chaman Lata Jain and her sons Vinay Jain, Rajeev Jain, and Deepak Jain. The Moolnayak Pratima (main deity’s idol) in the temple is of Shri Chandra Prabhu Bhagwan, which is ancient. People visit the temple daily to perform worship and rituals.
Dharamshala
The 1008 Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Chaityalaya is located approximately 45 kilometers from the capital of India, Delhi, in Halwai Hatta, Sonipat. Around a hundred Digambar Jain families reside near the Chaityalaya. There are a total of five Digambar Jain Mandir in the area, all managed by the 1008 Parshvanath Digambar Jain Bada Mandir. Arrangements for the accommodation for pilgrims is arranged at the Seth Chetan Lal Jain Dharamshala and the Paras Das Jain Dharamshala, both of which have ten rooms each. When Jain Saints visit the temple, arrangements for their stay are made at the Tyagi Bhavan. Within the premises of the Bada Jain Mandir, a school has been established where education is provided up to the fifth grade free of cost. The Jain Vidya Mandir School, established by the Jain community, provides education up to the twelfth grade to both Jain and non-Jain children in Sonipat.
