Sadhora Adinath Jain Mandir

It is said that some women were worshiping in the temple. It was raining that day, and suddenly lightning struck the Shikhar (spire) of the temple, creating a hole and entering the Garbh Grah (sanctum sanctorum). The women present there became nervous upon seeing the lightning and started reciting the Namokar Mantra. The women narrate that the lightning circled the Vedi and returned to the sky through the same hole.

Sadhora is located about 35 kilometers from the Yamunanagar district of Haryana. At one time, there used to be a Jain community of 400 to 500 Digambar Jain families in Sadhora, but today only ten to twelve Jain families remain. Despite the small number of Jain families, the management of temples in the area is being carried out smoothly. Daily worship and cleaning of the temple are performed by the Jain community. Special attention is given by the community to the cleanliness for the devotees. In the area, a dharamshala built by the Jain community provides two rooms and two large halls for pilgrims coming from afar. If a pilgrim contacts the temple, arrangements for meals are also provided by the Jain community. An Ayurvedic pharmacy has also been established in the area by the Jain community.

Sadhora is a city in the Yamunanagar district of Haryana state. It used to be the route for the departure of sadhus (ascetics), hence its ancient name was 'Sadhu Raah', which later evolved into Sadhora. The history of Sadhora holds significant importance. Before the partition of India and Pakistan, it was under the municipality of Lahore due to a larger Muslim population. Later, Maharaja Ranjeet Singh also ruled here. There is a famous place known as 'Roja Peer' here, which is popular among Muslims. Every year, a fair is held here during the pilgrimage season. Thousands of devotees from neighboring states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh come here to make vows and seek spiritual benefits. Ten kilometers away from Sadhora, there is a holy pilgrimage site for Hindus called Adabadri, where the Mantra Devi Mata Temple is situated. Along with this, there are several ancient temples such as Saraswati River origin, Tarawala, Gagadwal, and many more temples known for fulfilling desires, mentioned in scriptures and scriptures. This place is also associated with Sikh history. Guru Gobind Singh Ji had a Muslim disciple named Buddhan Shah. There is a gurdwara named after Buddhan Shah Ji, the Gurudwara Peer Buddhan Shah, also located in Sadhora.
