Introduction
Shri 1008 Munisuvratnath Digambar Jain Mandir is located in DLF Phase 2, Gurugram (Haryana), at a distance of 550 meters from the Gurugram-Delhi Expressway. The construction of the temple was carried out by the Jain community between 2007 and 2008. Prior to the construction of this temple, there was no other Jain temple in the area. As the number of Jain families in the area gradually increased, people had to travel long distances for darshan. Therefore, with the formation of a committee by the local Jain community and the consent of all its members, the construction of the temple was undertaken. Upon completion of the temple construction, the Panchkalyanak (consecration ceremony) of the temple was performed in the presence of Acharya Shri 108 Bahubali Sagar Ji Maharaj. The construction of the temple infused a different energy among the people. Now, there is no difficulty for people in having darshan. Around 200 to 250 people visit the temple daily. There is only one Vedi (altar) in the Temple, where the Moolnayak Pratima (main deity idol) is of Shri 1008 Munisuvratnath Bhagwan. Along with the Moolnayak Pratima, idols of Shri Adinath Bhagwan, Shri Shantinath Bhagwan, Shri Mallinath Bhagwan, and Shri Mahavir Bhagwan are also enshrined in the Vedi.
Dharamshala
Currently, Gurugram has evolved into an industrial hub equipped with all kinds of facilities, where people from diverse communities live together. There are approximately seven to eight hundred Jain families in Gurugram. Several Jain temples have been established in the area, with a respective committee for every temple. From DLF Phase 2 of Gurugram to approximately seven kilometers away in Gurugram Sadar Bazaar, Shri 1008 Parshvanath Digambar Jain Mandir is situated. A Jain Dharamshala is built along with the temple. Stay arrangements are made available in Dharamshala for the Pilgrims coming from distant areas. The arrival of Jain Saints is frequent in the area. Arrangements for their stay are made in the Tyagi Bhavan, built within the Jain dharamshala. Along with the dharamshala, the Jain community operates Bhagwan Parshvanath Charitable Medicare Center, providing facilities such as homeopathy, physiotherapy, eye care, dentistry, specialized pediatric care, dermatology, and more.
History

Along with this, Gurugram is also an important technical area which has big IT companies, banks, financial institutions etc. Gurugram's modern urban development is evolving as a social and cultural hub with modern residential projects, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels and art institutions. There are many historical places near Gurugram - such as Sheshdhari, Sultanpur Lake, and Sultanpur National Park which contain natural beauty in themselves. Gurugram has good educational institutions, hospitals and other facilities for the society. Apart from this, there are various religious places in the city. Along with this, the cultural life of Gurugram is also full of diversity. There are many art galleries, dance and music centers which present the cultural heritage of the city. Overall, Gurugram is a versatile city from a commercial, technological, cultural and social point of view which is located in the Indian state of Haryana.
