Hathin Digambar Jain Mandir

Shri 1008 Mahavir Digambar Jain Mandir is located in the village of Hathin, which is 16 kilometers away from Palwal district in the state of Haryana (India). The temple's Panch Kalyanak (consecration ceremony) was conducted in the year 1994. Prior to the construction of this temple, there were no other Jain temples in the area. Jain Saints regularly visit the region. Once Aryika Mataji visited Hathin and suggested the construction of a Jain temple in the area. Inspired by her suggestion, Lala Shivcharan Das Jain donated the land for the temple's construction. With Mataji's inspiration and the efforts of the local Jain community, the construction of the temple began. The foundation stone for the temple was laid in 1994. During the construction of the temple, a Jain individual from the village of Nagina, located 35 kilometers away from Hathin, appealed to the Jain community in Hathin to celebrate the Dash lakshan Parva (Ten Virtues Festival). At that time, construction work was underway at the temple, and there were no Jain idols enshrined in the temple yet. To facilitate the celebration of the Dash lakshan Parva, the Jain community in Hathin brought a statue of Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagwan from the Jain community in Palwal and established it in the temple. The Panch Kalyanak of Shri 1008 Mahavir Digambar Jain Mandir was conducted in the presence of revered Shri 108 Gyanbhushan Ji Maharaj in the year 1996. Currently, the temple has four Vedi . The main Vedi of the temple is situated on the upper floor, where the Moolnayak Pratima (main deity’s idol) of Shri 1008 Mahavir Bhagwan is seated in the Vedi. Along with the Moolnayak Pratima, there are idols of Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Bhagwan, Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan, Shri 1008 Padmaprabhu Bhagwan, Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan, and Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan. Adjacent to the Mool (main) Vedi, there is a Vedi of Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan and Shri Vasupujya Bhagwan. Beneath the main floor of the temple, there is a Ratanmayi Chaubisi, where idols made up of precious stones are enshrined. This Vedi was constructed on December 7, 2018, by Shri Kamlesh Jain, his wife Shrimati Kunth Prasad Jain, Shrimati Shakuntala Devi (mother of Shri Kamlesh Jain), and Shri Niranjan Lal Jain. The idols in this Vedi have been crafted in a special manner, with the symbols of the twenty-four Tirthankaras carved beneath the pratima.

The Panchkalyanak of the 41-foot-tall Maan Stambh in the temple took place in the presence of revered Shri 108 Gyanbhushan Ji Maharaj in the year 2018. Inside the Garbh Grah of the temple, Jain pilgrimage sites such as Shri Sammed Shikhar Ji, Shri Kailash Parvat, Shri Girnar Ji, and images of Jain Tirthankaras are engraved on glass. Along with these images, depictions of Jain legends are also illustrated. Jain Saint’s Chaturmas (a four-month period of monsoon retreat) and arrival have occurred in the temple from time to time. Jain Muni Shri 108 Gyanbhushan Ji Maharaj, Aryika Shri 105 Gyanganga Mata Ji, and Ekal Shri Virag Sagar Ji Maharaj have also arrived at the temple. Currently, Aryika Shri 105 Param Nandi Mata Ji Chaturmas is ongoing in the temple. Daily worship, ablution, and Abhishek (auspicious bath of the idol) are performed by the Jain community members in the temple. As Jain Muni Maharaj keep visiting the area periodically, therefore a building named Tyagi Bhawan has been constructed for their accommodation upon arrival.
