Gopal Nagar Jain Mandir Gurugram

Shri 1008 Dharmanath Ratnamayi Tees Chaubisi Digambar Jain Mandir is located in Gopal Nagar, Gurugram (Haryana). It is said that local Jain resident Shri Uday Singh Jain, son of Shri Hoshiyar Singh Jain, felt that there was a lack of appropriate place for stay of Jain Saints on their visit in the area. So, he donated a plot of 150 square yards from his house in Gopal Nagar for the construction of the temple and the Tyagi Bhawan for the Jain Saints. At that time, the Chaturmas of Acharya Ratna Shri 108 Bahubali Sagar Maharaj’s supreme disciple Sammed Shikhar Shiromani, lifelong water renunciant Acharya Shri 108 Dharamanand Sagar Maharaj and Muni Shri 108 Parshvasen Sagar Maharaj were already in Gopal Nagar. Inspired by their guidance and with the efforts of the Jain community, the temple was constructed finally. Vedi Pratishtha (altar consecration) has also been completed in the presence of Maharaj Ji. The name of the temple is Ratnamayi Tees Chaubisi Digambar Jain Mandir because the Mool Vedi (main altar) of the temple is shaped like a Samavsharan, made up of thirty-two Ratnamayi Chaubisi (meaning 720 precious stone idols). On the top of the Samavsharan, the idol of Shri Adinath Bhagwan is seated as the Moolnayak Pratima (main deity).

In the temple, other Vedi of Mata Padmavati and Kshetrapal Baba are also enshrined. In memory of Acharya Shri 108 Dharmanand Sagar Maharaj and Muni Shri 108 Parshvasen Ji, the Guru Vedi (saint altar) has been constructed in the temple. A Jivani Yantra has been installed in the temple for pure water, which is used for the abhishek (auspicious bath of the idol). Regularly, Jain devotees come to the temple for worship, rituals, and abhishek.
