Ganaur Prachin Jain Mandir
It is said that a person in the temple while doing Abhishek (auspicious bath of the idol) had made some mistake due to which an Atishay happened and he fell away far from the pratima ji.

Introduction
Shri 1008 Parshvanath Digambar Jain Prachin Mandir is an ancient and Atishaykari Jain temple located in the Main Bazaar of the Ganaur town situated around 23 kilometers far from the District Sonipat, Haryana. The temple was built by the Jain community around 150 to 200 hundred years ago. It is said at that time there used to be a large number of Jain families residing in the town but despite this there was no Jain temple. At that time, a Shwetambara Muni Maharaj ji used to visit the area oftenly. During his Vihar the arrangements for staying were made in the house of a person from the community. Muni ji was of very simple and religious nature. One day a discourse regarding the construction of the temple happened between the Muni ji and that person after which the person decided to build a Chaityalaya at his place.
As at that time there were not many means of travel. Therefore that person went barefoot to the nearby city of Gohana and brought a Pratima ji from the temple there, Jinvani Mata Ji and some handwritten scriptures which he established in the room at his place. Gradually the area was expanded and given the form of a Chaityalaya. After the death of the person, the Chaityalaya was taken care of by the local Jain community.
Thus the Jain Samaj (community) carried out the renovation work in the year 1934 and after the construction of Shikhar (spire on top), the Chaityalaya got converted into a temple. Currently there is only one Vedi established in the temple in which the Moolnayak (main) Pratima of Shri 1008 Parshwanath Bhagwan Ji of Samvat 1229 is seated along with the pratima of Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan and Shri 1008 Padmaprabhu Bhagwan Ji. Jinvani Mata Ji Vedi and some ancient handwritten scriptures are also present in the temple till date.
Atishay Katha

The man tried to get up three times, but every time he got up, he fell back due to the Atishay (numinous presence). Ultimately that person and the other people present there asked for forgiveness in front of the pratima and thereafter the person was able to get up again properly. When we reached the temple, there we met Shri Narendra Kumar Jain, who was doing his puja in the temple. He told us that earlier his father Lala Shri Fakir Chand Jain used to perform Puja and Prakshal daily in the temple. One day when Fakir Chand Jain ji came to the temple for puja, he saw a person never before in the temple. He looked like no ordinary person but like a Dev (god). Lala Fakir Chand Jain immediately went to tell the Jain community about him. By the time they returned, the person was not there. It is believed that Dev comes for the Pratima ji darshan and that person might have actually been a Dev.
Dharamshala
There is a community of about hundred Jain families in Ganaur. Jain families actively participate in all types of social programs. There are a total three Digambar Jain temples in Ganaur, out of which one is located on Ganaur G.T. Road and the other two temples are located in Ganaur city. Every type of facility is arranged by the Jain community for the devotees coming to the temple so that they do not have to face any kind of difficulty in having darshan. For those pilgrims who come from distant areas to visit the Digambar Jain temples located in Ganaur city, the Jain community provides free accommodation in eight rooms built in the Jain Dharamshala located in Purani Mandi, Ganaur. The education is also provided to the students in the area through CCAS Vidyamandir School and CCAS Jain Girls College built by the Jain community. Jain Muni Maharaj ji has also been visiting the area from time to time. On the arrival of Maharaj ji, arrangements for their stay are made in Tyagi Bhawan built in Jain Dharamshala.
History
The city of Ganaur is situated just twenty kilometers away from Sonipat. It is located at a distance of 58 kilometers from Delhi, the capital of India. As of the 2011 India census, Ganaur had a population of 35 thousand, of which approximately nineteen thousand were males and sixteen thousand were females. On Ganaur G.T. road lies the famous Gupti Dham Digambar Jain Temple, which attracts a lot of visitors from Sonipat and also from faraway areas. Apart from this, there are two Digambar Jain temples located in Ganaur city. Out of which, one temple is known by the name of Shri 1008 Shantinath Digambar Jain Mandir, situated in Ganaur Purani Mandi, and the other is Shri 1008 Parshvanath Digambar Jain Prachin Mandir. Ganaur has excellent connectivity with the national capital through national highways and railways.
