Introduction
Shri 1008 Adinath Digambar Jain Mandir is located in Sector-10 of Faridabad which is around 24 kilometers away from Delhi, the capital city of India. The construction of the temple was initiated through the inspiration and efforts of Aryika Kaushalya Mataji, with support from Shri S.K. Jain, Shri Mukesh Jain, Shri Shreyansh Jain, Shri Dinesh Jain, and the local Jain community. The consecration ceremony of the first Panchkalyanak in the temple happened in the year 2003 in the auspicious presence of Shri 108 Vidyanand Maharaj Ji. There are three Vedi built in the temple. In the Mool (main) Vedi the Mool pratima (principal deity) of Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan Ji is seated along with the pratima of Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan, Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Bhagwan and Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan. On the right side of Mool Vedi, Shri 1008 Parshwanath Bhagwan Ji’s Vedi is established where the mool pratima of Parshwanath Bhagwan Ji is seated along with the pratima of Shri 1008 Anantnath Bhagwan and Shri 1008 Mahavir Bhagwan Ji. And similarly on the left side of the Mool Vedi, in another sanctum, Shri 1008 Mahavir Bhagwan Ji’s Vedi is established.

They cleverly broke a window of the temple to gain entry. Upon hearing the sound of the window breaking, the temple caretaker gets the impression of thieves and immediately informs the local residents. After seeing people coming, the thieves got scared and fled empty-handed, thus the temple was saved from being robbed. In the entire area all the Pratima ji also have a great abundance of Atishay (numinous presence).

In Faridabad the Jain community comprises only about 400 to 500 families. Despite the small number, the Jain community actively participates in various social programs within the region. There are different Jain temples situated in different areas of Faridabad. Each Jain temple has a separate committee formed for it. In Sector-10 of Faridabad, there is the Shri 1008 Adinath Digambar Jain Temple. Time to time, Jain Muni Maharaj (Jain Saints) visit the temple. In order to accommodate the stay of the Munis, the committee purchased 250 square yards of land and constructed the Shri 1008 Adinath Nilay Building. This building includes a large hall that is used for religious programs and three rooms with air conditioning facilities.
Additionally within the Nilay building a Jain Dharmarth Homeopathic dispensary has been established where Ayurvedic medicines are provided at minimal cost. The committee also organizes social programs such as blood donation camps and distribution of clothing for the needy people and providing free tea to the people and patients in the nearby B.K. Civil Hospital in Faridabad. Furthermore, the committee has constructed the Shri Adinath Digambar Jain Education Center, through which education is provided to children of weaker sections in the ninth and tenth grades at a nominal fee.
History
Faridabad is a district in the state of Haryana, India. It is an important satellite city of the national capital region of Delhi. The city of Faridabad was founded in 1607 by Sheikh Farid, also known as Baba Farid. Baba Farid was a renowned Sufi saint and also served as the treasurer of the Mughal emperor Jahangir. There is a shrine dedicated to Baba Farid here, which is revered by some of the local people. After the partition of India in 1950, a large group of refugees from Pakistan settled here. Industries were established to facilitate their resettlement. Later on, people from various communities, regions, and religions also migrated to Faridabad and settled here. Initially, it was a part of Gurgaon district. On August 15, 1979, Faridabad was established as a separate district.
