The management of the Shri 1008 Digambar Jain Bada Mandir in Baraut is carried out by the Shri Digambar Jain Samaj Samiti, Baghpat. The members of the committee are as follows:
Introduction
Shri 1008 Digambar Jain Mandir also known as Bada Jain Mandir, is located in Baraut Nagar in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. Baraut is also known as Jain City. The Garbh Grah (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple is adorned with beautiful Jain artwork on all four sides. In the Mool Vedi (main altar) of the temple, the idol of Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Bhagwan is enshrined as Moolnayak Pratima (main deity’s idol). To the left of the Moolnayak Pratima, the Vedi of Shri 1008 Munisuvratnath Bhagwan is established. On the right of the Vedi of the Garbh Grah, there is a khadgasana idol made up of white stone of Shri 1008 Arhanath Bhagwan is enshrined. The next Vedi is the Choubisi Vedi (24th Tirthankara altar), which houses the idol of Shri 1008 Neminath Bhagwan as Moolnayak Pratima. In the Garbh Grah after the Choubisi Vedi, the idol of Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan as Moolnayak is enshrined in the Vedi, and in the last Vedi, there is the khadgasana idol of Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan.
Every year, a 10-days, 13 Deep Mahamandal ceremony is organized in the temple. At the conclusion of the Paryushan Parva, Jal Yatra Mahotsav and a Rath Yatra Mahotsav are celebrated. During the Jal Yatra Mahotsav, the idol of Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan is placed on a chariot taken from the temple to Pandukshila for a water ablution ceremony. On the next day, during the Chariot Procession Festival, the idol of Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Bhagwan is taken on a chariot to Panduk Shila for Abhishek (auspicious bath of the idol). From a short distance from the Bada Jain Mandir, is situated Chota Jain Mandir which is made of Makrana marble.

History
Baghpat is also known as the "City of Gardens''. Its significance increased after the 1857 revolution. In Barnawa of Baghpat, the remains Lakhshagriha from the Mahabharata era still exists. Baraut is a city in Baghpat district situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. It is located 62 kilometers away from Delhi. Baraut is bordered by Meerut to the east, Sonipat to the west, Murthal to the northwest, Shamli and Panipat to the north, and New Delhi to the south.
