Ballabgarh Prachin Jain Mandir

It is said that a person from Sector-37 used to come to the temple every day for darshan. His wish was for his son to secure a good job. One day, his son went for a job interview. He came to the temple and pleaded in front of Shri Munisuvratnath Bhagwan Ji pratima for his son's interview to be successful. After a while, he received a call that his son had passed the interview. The next day, he came to the temple, offered prayers, and seeked for the blessings of Shri Munisuvratnath Bhagwan ji. Even during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole world witnessed the impact of the epidemic but no one connected with the temple had suffered in those difficult times. Jain Muni Maharaj often visit the temple from time to time. Currently, Jain Ratan Shri 108 Mangalanand Ji Maharaj is having the Chaturmas in the temple. Whenever a Jain Saint or Muni Maharaj goes to Mathura from Delhi, they surely visit the Prachin temple of Ballabgarh. Every day, Jain devotees (Shraddhaalu) come to the temple for Pooja Prakshal and Shantidhara.

Ballabgarh city is located just eight kilometers away from Faridabad district in Haryana. There are around 250 to 300 families of the Jain community residing in Ballabgarh. There are three Digambar Jain temples in the area, which are managed effectively by the Jain families. The oldest Jain temple of Ballabgarh is Shri 1008 Munisuvratnath Digambar Jain Mandir, located in Sector-1. The temple committee regularly conducts acts of compassion such as feeding birds and providing them water. Besides the temple, a Jain Vidya Mandir School has been built where approximately seven hundred children receive education. Occasionally, revered Jain Saints and Muni Maharaj visit the temple. Arrangements for the stay of the Jain Saints and Muni Maharaj during their visit to the temple are made in rooms built within the school premises. Just a distance of nine hundred meters away from this temple is the Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain temple.

Faridabad is a district in the state of Haryana, India. It is an important satellite city of the national capital region of Delhi. The city of Faridabad was founded in 1607 by Sheikh Farid, also known as Baba Farid. Baba Farid was a renowned Sufi saint and served as the treasurer of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. A mausoleum has been built here in his honor, which is also revered by some local people. In 1950, after the partition of India, a large group of refugees from Pakistan settled here. Industries were established to facilitate their resettlement. Later, people from various communities, regions, and religions also settled in Faridabad. Initially, it was a part of Gurgaon district. On August 15, 1979, Faridabad was established as a separate district.
