Introduction
Shri 1008 Abhinandan Nath Digambar Jain Mandir is located in Faridabad Sector 37, about 28 kilometers from Delhi, the capital of India. It was in the year 1995 when Shri Mahavir Prasad Jain Ji, the resident of Delhi Sheikh Sarai, came to Faridabad Sector 37. At that time there was no Digambar Jain temple nearby.

He convened a committee of the local Jains residing there and expressed his desire to construct a temple. Initially the decision to construct the Chaityalaya was taken jointly by the local Jain committee and Shri Mahavir Prasad ji. The act of kindness of Mahavir Prasad ji can be seen as he also donated the land he owed there for the construction of Chaityalaya. The construction work of the Chaityalaya was completed with the efforts of Shri Mahavir Prasad Jain and the local Jain community. The Pratima of Shri 1008 Adinath Bhagwan Ji was given to the Jain community by Aryika 105 Gyanmati Mata Ji to be established as Moolnayak (main) pratima in the Chaityalaya. After some time the Pratima of Shri 1008 Shantinath Bhagwan and Shri 1008 Mahavir Bhagwan Ji were brought from Jaipur, and were installed in the Vedi. A few years after the construction of the Chaityalaya, Shri Mahavir Prasad ji handed over the Chaityalaya to the Jain community. It was decided by the entire Jain community that the Chaityalaya should be converted into a temple. But the people of other communities living near the temple were not in favor of the temple. They filed a case against the Jain community for opposing the construction of the temple. It was Bhagwan Jinendra Atishay (numinous presence) that the case came in favor of the Jain community. The construction work of the temple started in the year 2006-2007 and was completed in the year 2013. Panchkalyanak (consecration ceremony) happened in the temple in February 2014. The Jain community seeked the guidance of Jain Sadhu Maharaj ji as of which Tirthankar Bhagwan Pratima Ji should be considered and seated as the Moolnayak Pratima in the Vedi. The Pratima of Shri 1008 Abhinandan Nath Ji was declared to be as Moolnayak Pratima Ji. After this, the Pratima of Moolnayak Shri Abhinandan Nath Bhagwan Ji was placed in the Vedi by the Jain community. Apart from the Moolnayak Pratima the Pratima of Shri Shantinath Bhagwan, Shri Mahavir Bhagwan and Shri Adinath Bhagwan are also present in the Vedi. Jain Muni Maharaj ji also visits the temple from time to time. Every day Jain devotees come to the temple and perform Puja, Prakshal and Abhishek.

The total population of Faridabad is about fourteen lakhs in which Jain community is only around 400 to 500 families. Despite having so few families, the Jain community has a good presence in Faridabad. Jain temples in Faridabad are situated in different areas. A separate committee has been formed for each temple. Shri 1008 Abhinandan Nath Digambar Jain Mandir is located in Sector-37, Faridabad. The temple is smoothly managed by the local temple committee. Special care for the arrangements has been taken for the devotees who come to the temple every day. Jain Sadhu-Maharaj ji keeps coming to the area from time to time and Tyagi Bhavan has been constructed as a place to stay during their arrival. A hall has also been constructed to listen to the sermons of Maharaj Ji. If any Jain pilgrim contacts before coming, then the arrangements for his stay are also made available by the Jain community.
History
Faridabad is a district in the state of Haryana. Faridabad is an important suburb of the metropolitan city of Delhi, the national capital of India. Faridabad was established as a separate district on 15 August 1979. Faridabad is important in trade, industry, and education. It is a hub of business activity due to several industries, including automobile, electronics, and steel industries. Apart from this, there are many good educational institutions also here. Overall, Faridabad is a commercial, industrial and cultural city which is famous for its diversity and excellence. The population here is also increasing rapidly, which is giving a new and developed look to the city.
